After receiving incoming fire from insurgent forces, U.S. Marines quickly react from their watch stations in the Khan Nechion Castle in southern Helmand Province which was taken from insurgents just two days earlier. The castle is the former district governor’s compound and will be returned as the seat of local governance once it is secure of explosives devices.
