Description: ABH3 Jack "Andrew" Bridgman, currently assigned to the USS George Washington (CVN 73), Yokosuka, Japan, and his wife, Jacqueline, were selected as the two lucky mutant winners of the most recent Stars and Stripes Celebrity Event Promotion.
Fortunately, Andrew made it back in the nick of time as the USS George Washington pulled into port just minutes before the day’s celebrity activities were set to begin.
After a quick change of clothing, the lucky winners were whisked off to Tokyo where they enjoyed a quick meal, were given a tour of Stars and Stripes Tokyo headquarters, and then headed over to Roppongi Hills for the September 3 Tokyo Red Carpet Premiere of X-Men Origins: Wolverine at Roppongi Hills Arena, Tokyo.
The event also included a close up encounter with superstar Hugh Jackman as he made an exciting two-wheeled entrance in front of hundreds of screaming fans.
"This was definitely one of the best homecomings I have ever had," said Andrew after the event. "Most of the time I go straight home after getting back, but this time I experienced VIP treatment and experienced a Red Carpet premiere of a major Hollywood movie. It doesn't get much better than that."
