Description: Thousands of visitors came out to Camp Zama to enjoy a full day of family fun during the first annual 2009 USARJ-JGSDF Awareness Day on November 14, 2009.
Events included rappelling, U.S. combat and military working dog demonstrations, military aircraft and military equipment static displays, small arms and air mobile rigging displays, a camo and try on station, a band show and lots of great food and games for all.
So many of our Japanese neighbors and friends are interested in what we do here at USARJ and Camp Zama, said Major James Crawford, USARJ public affairs officer. Army Awareness Day is a great opportunity to be both transparent and great neighbors. By being open to the public, we hope to further strengthen the alliance between Japan and America.
